Valentine's Day 

Valentines Day is the day that "love" is celebrated. It is celebrated annually on the 14 of February. No one knows the exact origin of valentines day but people believe that it has a dark past dating back to the Romans. Between February 13 to the 15, men would sacrifice a goat and dog, then whip the woman with the skin or hide of the animal they had killed. The females would even line up to be whipped because they believed that it would make them more fertile. There was also a match making lottery that paired two people up and they would be together for the rest of the festival but if it was a perfect match they would be paired up for more.
