Conspiracy Theories

Why did you choose this topic:

I chose this topic because I enjoy hearing about new conspiracy theories.

What are Conspiracy theories?

Conspiracy Theories are explanations of things that are government or crime related. Lately, theories of different topics have been out to the world. Some include examples like some celebrities might be dead and replaced with robots or lizards because of some missing characteristics. Some are different like some missing air crafts that have gone missing like the Malaysia air crafts that have gone missing. The biggest conspiracy theory out in the world are the Illuminati. A group of famous people like Beyonce or Whitney Houston have been thought to be part of it because of how famous they are. A location where it is thought to be haunted is the Denver airport. There are many paintings or statues that are "haunted". The Mandela effect is where you remember something one way but it was never like that. For example i remember the monopoly man always having a monocle. Well guess what, it never had a monocle. That's weird. These Mandela effects were started off because people remember Nelson Mandela passing away in one place, but no he didn't die in that place. Conspiracy Theories are only theories and most of them have not been proven correct. There are more conspiracy theories than what I have explained.

The Harmful Effects of Smoking

How does it harm you?

It harms the body because coughing, colds, wheezing, and asthma can be the beginning of the damages. Fatal diseases like pneumonia, emphysema and lung cancer can be caused by smoking.

 Statistics:

·       One person dies every 6 seconds from a smoking related disease

·       Lung Cancer is the most common type of cancer to occur
·       30% of smokers are ages 18 to 20
·       Over 600,000 non-smokers die each year from secondhand smoke

What percentage of teens smoke?

It has declined greatly from 28% in 1996 to 7% in 2015

You can promote non-smoking by showing what effects it has on the body but especially on the lungs.

How can you promote non- smoking?

You can show what effects smoking has on your health but to really scare them you can show what happens to your lungs.

Intelligence plus character

Student Success Statement

"Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education."

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Reflection: For the first time a statement is not about obedience or something like that. Its about our grades. So choose the right so you can get good grades.

Another

Student Success Statement

"When you tell a lie, it leads to another"

Paul Hatch

Reflection: Okay so this statement is different. Not completely because it is still staying choose the right. But it is different because it is about not lying. One lie leads to another because if you tell one lie you will later need to tell another lie to back up the first one. For example, if you lie that you went on vacation during the summer, then you will have to make up more lies like where you went, or what you ate, or what you did.
