Optometrist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They examine patients eyes, diagnosing eye and vision problems, testing patients' depth and color perception, and testing their ability to focus their eyes. Optometrist can also prescribe contact lenses and glasses.  

 Education: 

You need to have a four year bachelor's program as well a bachelor's degree.

Reflection: 

I wouldn't mind this job but I also wouldn't want it.

Reflection: Most things that are the correct thing to do aren't popular. People especially teens are persuaded by social media. The "popular" thing at the moment to do is eat tide pods. It's very dumb but people still do it. It's not the right thing to do. No matter how much information has been said about how tide pods are bad to intake, people want to be caught up to the popular thing. No matter how much information has been said about this topic people still do it.

Tom (My Dog)

Tom is my dog. He is my dog. I love him very much. But he does not love me. But I do not care. He is very anti social. Unless he trusts you. Which he has been doing lately. He is starting to accept people more. He has white fur. He is a poodle. This year he is going to turn 6 years old. Which in dog years that is 42. His birthday is on July 21. He was born the year 2012. He is very adorable in my opinion.

A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

Reflection: Im happy because finally we have an SSS by someone who isn't white. Haymore uses examples for other sss, but never not once have we written a reflection from someone who isn't white. Im really happy right now in this moment.

Health Related Issue

1. The issue is that the number of Americans without health insurance grows during the first year of Trump being president.
2. There are many Americans without health insurance, but once Trump is president that number raised drastically.
3. The people who are mostly affected are Hispanics, black people, and household making less than $36,000 a year.

Veterinarian

Duties and Responsibilities:

 What vets do is they are doctors but for animals. They vaccinate, neuter, or even spay the animals. 

Education: 

 The education they need is a doctoral or professional degree. 

Salary:

Reflection: I would honestly not hate this job because since I want to be a doctor this is the same thing but for animals.

Harmful Effects of Marijuana

1. Marijuana harms you in the way by changing your brain. It contains an ingredient called THC that makes you feel high but also changes the way your brain works.

2. 1 in 3 Americans try marijuana. There are no statistics leading to how marijuana affects you and there have been no cases of someone dying from marijuana alone. 

3. Nearly 21% of teens have tried marijuana in 2014.

4. You can show what effects it has on the brain and body but for what marijuana does it does not seem like such a bad thing.

6. Marijuana isn't that bad overall but sure i'll say that i'll never try it.

Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilties: They treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through therapy for everyday activities. They help them recover.

Education: To be in this field you require a masters degree. 

 

Reflection: I would not enjoy this job because it does not interest me.

Reflection: My thoughts on this are very vague. If you do good then you may leave a mark on society. In other words, a legacy. Choose the right, be a good person.

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: 

They work to supervise clinical and administrative affairs of nursing homes and related facilities. Typical duties of nursing home administrators include overseeing staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities, and other duties as specific positions demand.

Education:

To be in this field of work you require a 4 year bachelors degree and most likely a state licensing examination. 

Reflection:

I would not enjoy this job because it does not interest me at all.

Winter Break

I didn't do anything. I slept for most of the time and the rest I just watched Netflix. Christmas and New Years was fun. I watched Friends and Criminal Minds on Netflix. That's about it. My mom and I  tried to see the parade floats the day after the rose parade, but there weren't any more. My vacation was boring.
